Voice Actor, Narrator & Public Speaker

“Mary Hampton is a superb lecturer. She has an incredible stage presence and such an expressive voice.”

Dr. Mary Reddick
university colleague

From an early age, I have had a passion for theater and European history. I combined these interests by acting in theater productions and later as a published professor of political science and international security. In theater I excelled at comedy. As a political scientist, I focused on American History and Foreign Policy, German History and Foreign Policy, European Security Issues, and Russian Foreign Policy.

Both pursuits involved theatrical performances, public speaking events, and popular lectures from the university stage and/or in smaller class contexts. My speaking voice has therefore been central to my career pursuits and I have honed it over the course of my lifetime. Among the speaking skills I have developed, I include the ability to be authoritative, to project, intonate, articulate, inflect, and to use humor.

“With her background in acting and university lecturing, Dr. Mary Hampton has the all too rare ability to bring material to life in a way that engages her audience and holds their attention. Her stage presence is evident when she is lecturing, but manifests itself in the spoken word as well—in a way that few can match.”

Dr. Patricia Hanna
